Sacramento SCORE provides free and confidential business counseling tailored to meet the needs of your small business. Whether you are just starting a business or expanding an established business, SCORE counselors are here to help you succeed.
Those clients with previous business experience can click here to set up a meeting with a counselor.
However, for those clients who are not already in business, the first step to the counseling process is a free 2-1/2 hour Pre-Business Orientation seminar. This workshop is specifically designed to answer your questions about starting a business, to help you gain focus on your business idea, and discuss expectations of a business owner in preparation for your first meeting with a counselor. Please select the "Workshops & Seminars" page - it provides an outline of the courses offered, a schedule of courses and how to register for the sessions. Once the Pre-Business Orientation is completed you will be contacted to set up a meeting with a counselor.
There is no charge for counseling, no matter how many sessions are needed. Each session will last about one hour. We will continue to be interested in your progress, so follow-up sessions are encouraged.
While we provide one-on-one counseling at the various Business Information Centers, we also provide team counseling and mentoring assistance at your business location by means of our Business Tune-up program. Our goal is to offer you, the business owner, the benefit of the professional experience of a team of counselors to assist you in seeking operating solutions in such areas as financial, administrative, marketing and business expansion. Ultimately we want to help you build your roadmap to success.
